TYRE KNOWLEDGE

1. Increased Wear Resistance

The foundation of radial tyres is built on heavy-duty steel wires which increases wear resistance, ensures better braking capability, and provides a comfortable ride. The radial tyre's wear resistance increases by 50-130% compared to a bias tyre.

2. Fuel Economy

Radial tyres have a soft carcass which allows for lower rolling resistance. Running the same number of revolutions as the bias, the traveling distance is longer. With a radial tyre there is little rolling resistance which saves about 20-25% of resistant force and fuel consumption is lowered by 6-9%.

3. Increased Manoeuvrability and Stability

ROADX tyres have excellent grip force which increases manoeuvrability when turning. Radial tyres, at the same rotation angle as bias tyres, have a smaller amount of torque, which increases manoeuvrability and stability.

4. Low Heat Buildup and Minimised Resistance

When traveling at 90 km/h, the tyre temperature is moderate. The carcass uses a metal layer which dissipates heat when driving; the friction on the inside of the tyre is relatively low. While moving, the tread doesn't have to work as hard which causes power shearing stress on the tyre. A radial tyre's heat buildup is 25% less than that of bias tyre.

5. Better Braking

The tyre carcass utilises a heavy-duty steel wire layer that means high performance braking on wet roads. Grip performance for radial tyres is even more efficient.

6. More Efficient Puncture Resistance

Radial tyres’ steel tread is robust and is mostly impervious to rock, glass, nails, and miscellaneous road debris. The secret is the carcass’s steel wire layer.
